Site Preparation
Flat Site Foundation
Sites must be well drained and have firm foundation built up of 25mm screened gravel to a thickness of 100mm. The foundation material must be evenly spread over an area that extends beyond the tank base. This base material must be completely retained within the site area and protected against erosion.
Sloping Site Foundation
On sloping sites the full width of the tank must be landed on the excavated ground and not the backfill. The foundation material must be placed as stiplulated for a flat site.
